Make Christmas shopping a little more fun by doing to an outdoor mall and bringing your dog along.
Take an evening to just sit and cuddle by the fire with your dog. If you don’t have a real or electric fireplace, just cuddle in bed, peacefully watching the snowfall.
Find some festive, cute, new dog sweaters to help your dog stay warm (but only if he likes sweaters).
Make a doggy snow cone: Collect from freshly-fallen, untouched snow and put it in a bowl. Pour some cold chicken broth over it for a delicious doggy treat.
Take a walk together in a neighborhood known for its beautifully lit houses during the season.
Make a warm blanket fort inside and let your dog explore it.

While you’re enjoying your large turkey dinner and stuffing your face with cakes, pies—and whatever else you can get your hands on—Fido is in the corner just wishing he could have a bite.
But usually he can’t. Sweets made for humans are way too sugary for dogs and can make them throw up.
You don’t need that kinda mess this holiday.
That’s why we’ve compiled a huge list of holiday-themed dog treats that your dog can enjoy alongside his human counterparts.
Since they’re all found on Amazon, almost anyone can order them to enjoy all season long.
20 Christmas Dog Treats to Give as Dog Gifts
Take into account any dietary restrictions and flavor preferences when selecting holiday treats. For big bags, you may wish to separate them into smaller bags or boxes and distribute them to other canine friends throughout the season
#1 Pumpkin Dog Ice Cream
While you enjoy your pumpkin pie and whipped cream, allow your dog to have a pumpkin-flavored treat too. Even in the dead cold of winter, we know he won’t object. Simply add water to the mix and freeze for whenever you’re ready.
Pawsative Ruffview: “The ice cream was a hit. I bought this for my dog for her birthday. She loved it. Even my cats got to taste it and they liked it. And …. don’t tell anyone, but because of the ingredients, I licked the spoon to see what it tasted like. I’m impressed. I’m not going to sit down and eat a bowl of this stuff, but it didn’t make me gag. It just tasted like salty, bacon flavored milk. I’ll buy this again for MY DOG for other special occasions.”
Another pumpkin option, these are easy to digest with nothing artificial. The company also donates 5% of net profits to animal shelters and programs, so get into that holiday giving spirit!
Pawsative Ruffview: “I have searched all over for healthy yummy treats that are low in phosphorus. My dog love these treats. I like that they have very few ingredients and feel like they were not mass produced. The Gingerbread and Pumpkin you can even taste them for yourself. They truly seem like they were baked in your oven. Thank you. Please keep making low phosphorus treats.”
Who doesn’t love a box of chocolates? Of course, your dog can’t have cocoa, but this is the next best thing! The package comes in with 75 assorted all-natural treats.
Pawsative Ruffview: “My mom (RIP) ordered these cookies every single Christmas for about five years for our dogs. She ordered them from some mail order catalog. Our dogs love opening the box on Christmas and enjoy the cookies even more! Some are a nice, quarter size, others are a tiny (like the bones). Always crunchy, have never been stale. The presentation on the box is beautiful and this was the first year I thought the dogs would have to go without them, but they magically appeared as a suggested in my Amazon feed!! I just HAD to get them:) ~ we love how this came to be for us this year, and the dogs just love the product! I hope I can buy them again next Christmas :)”
This package contains 50 homemade Christmas dog treats—all human-grade. You can expect the cutest holiday designs, including bells and trees.
Pawsative Ruffview: “These are the only dog “bakery treats” my doggies will eat! They don’t like all of them but they do enjoy the red and green trees, which was enough for my to repurchase them for! When it’s the holidays and we all have Christmas cookies, I love to be able to give my doggies a Christmas treat too!”
I wrapped these up last year for my dog and he loved them! They’re small enough to use as training treats and tasty enough to have your dog licking his lips all day long in anticipation. Also, unlike other dog treats, these don’t smell disgusting or leave a weird scent on your hands.
Pawsative Ruffview: “I have a finicky eater, my British Lab…but when I put a few of these Snowflake Vanilla treats on top, he eats his entire serving of food! They also make great training treats and they are easy to break apart to make them last longer.”
This tub of treats features little gingerbread and some even with icing. Now, your dog can enjoy gingerbread men alongside you.
Pawsative Ruffview: “Occasionally you find a Black Lab that is ‘fussy’ about what she eats! I know that sounds impossible, but it’s TRUE! We have had Labs in our household for over 40 years. Our latest Lab is the FIRST one to be ‘fussy’ about food. We bought her these for Xmas and she LOVED them! Gobbled them up! DOG APPROVED!”
You know those Christmas cookies filled with jelly or cream? Aren’t they delicious? Well, this is the dog version and it comes in 3 classic flavors:
Golden and Vanilla
Carob and Peanut Butter
Golden and Peanut Butter
Pawsative Ruffview: “My dogs loved these so much I was tempted to try one. Ok, I did. One little bite. Much to my dogs’ dismay. It was good. I let them have the rest. They forgave me. I did it reluctantly.”
While you string popcorn to make Christmas decorations, pop a few of these colorful treats into Fido’s mouth. These USA-made treats are even packaged in a cute fire hydrant shape! Pawsative Ruffview: “I live in a building with about 140 other people and many doggies. Also my siblings have lots of doggies too. So for Christmas I bought this and separated them into zip lock baggies and handed them out for doggie Christmas presents. Although to a human they appear to be like rice cake or styrophome consistency, they are cute, colorful doggie shapes and dogs love them. This container had the flavours of chicken, beef, and vegetable and the doggies liked each flavour.”
Just because your pup has a sensitive stomach doesn’t mean he needs to forgo Christmas cookies! These grain-free treats even include colorful icing in shapes such as the Grinch.
Pawsative Ruffview: “Just gave a cookie to the dog on Christmas, and he loved it! He’s a an 18-lb terrier, not very big, so now I give him 1/3 or 1/2 of one. They are about the size of a standard Christmas cookie, so they’re big to give him a whole one. He has grain allergies, so I’ve not been able to get him real “cookies” before. This is a great treat.”
It took 5 reindeers to make this dog chew. Just kidding, it’s only chicken—but the reindeer shape is adorable! It comes in other holiday designs tool:
Christmas Wreath
Holiday Cane
Holiday Mini Bones
Gingerbread Men
Pawsative Ruffview: “Our little puppy got these in his stocking for Christmas and he absolutely loved them! Super cute and we could tell they tasted great because they kept him occupied. We’re always looking to feed our pup delicious treats made from real ingredients and these fit the bill. Definitely recommend for a cute, wholesome treat around the holidays.”
Another classic holiday flavor, these are made with natural ingredients and no by-product meal, corn, wheat or soy.
Pawsative Ruffview: “My dogs freakin’ LOVE them! Like, they escaped the house one day and I took the bag outside and rustled it around and they gave up their free play to run back to me and get a Santa snack. So glad I was able to get more on Amazon!”
Don’t leave the doggo out of this year’s cocktails! Give him his own with this all-natural dog beer. This pack comes in beef and chicken flavor and don’t worry, it doesn’t actually contain alcohol. It can also be frozen for a cold treat.
Pawsative Ruffview: “It was my dogs 3rd birthday(21st) and we had some of his friends over and that really liked it.”
Toasting to a holiday filled with family and friends? Puppy can too! Simply pour him a glass of this non-alcoholic champagne. It even contains Alaskan salmon oil to improve his coat.
While everyone else’s teeth are rotting from the plethora of holiday sweets, your dogs will be squeaky clean thanks to these treats. Made like traditional dental chews, these feature adorable snowman and Christmas tree designs on the ends.
While you eat turkey dinner, doggo can munch on these delectable turkey strips. They’re made with free-range turkeys and that’s the only ingredient!
Pawsative Ruffview: “My dog literally cannot get enough!! I usually put down 2 or 3 other treats at a time just to get an idea of what she really likes and these are almost always her top choice next to beef jerky. It takes her no less then 3 minutes to eat one and the length of each is about 2/3rds of a ruler. These treats are a moderate chew, not soft but not very hard either. Overall a great product.”
These made-in-the-USA, all-natural treats are another great option to entertain your canine during Christmas dinner. He’ll love unwrapping his gift to discover this meat scent.
Pawsative Ruffview: “This brand is awesome, and I wish my local pet store carried them. I have tried (or my dog has tried) both the turkey and the lamb flavors; I love that these are all meat, no processing, no flavors, nothing else added to them – my dog has several food allergies and these are a great training/reward treat that are easy on his skin and stomach.”
These look so delicious you’ll almost want to take a bite yourself. These bones are covered in white dog frosting and rolled in colorful sprinkles.
Pawsative Ruffview: “My German Shepherds love these! They smell so good, you’ll want to eat them! The products are exceptional quality and I will always buy Tail Bangers for my girls!”
Here’s another iced dog cookie option. Beautifully made in wreath, stocking and gift designs, these are all-natural and made in the USA. No corn or soy makes them a great idea for sensitive tummies.
Pawsative Ruffview: “I was a little nervous buying a large quantity of fresh, decorated dog cookies so close to the holidays – but no worries! The product was delivered promptly. The cookies were well packaged to prevent breakage and to keep fresh. I split them up into small baggies to give to dog friends in the neighborhood. They were a huge hit! Even the ‘fussy’ dogs liked them. They are so beautiful that you could put them on a plate at a Christmas party and no one would think they were for dogs. One of my neighbors even tried one (on purpose) and said it was pretty good! Thanks for such a tail wagging treat!”
Perhaps you’d rather make homemade dog Christmas treats. This kit comes with doggy “sugar cookie” mix and a bone-shaped cutter, so you’ll have everything you need to whip up a wheat, soy and corn-free treat.
Pawsative Ruffview: “I baked these for the 8 dogs belonging to our family members (in different houses). Also added names with food safe writing tubes sold in the baking isle of grocery store. They turned out soft and stayed that way. Added others goodies to small tins.”
Whether you’re training a puppy or full-grown dog, you have a ton of options.
From in-person classes to online courses and the variety of techniques taught, which one is right for your doggo?
In this post, we’ll help you learn whether online brain training for dogs is the right choice. We’ll describe what it is, how it can help and where you can find courses.
What is Brain Training for Dogs?
Simply put, brain training means increasing your dog’s intelligence. In doing that, she or he will learn how to better respond and perform tricks at a higher level. The theory makes sense: the smarter your dog is, the easier it will be to teach her.
So, you sit your dog down with a textbook and notepad and tell her to get studying.
Just kidding.
Developing your pup’s intelligence is done through a variety of activities that engage their mind. These require no force and no abrasive techniques. It’s a series of 21 fun games to reach different levels of training. There’s 5 parts:
Preschool
Elementary
High School
College
University
Graduation
Einstein
If your dog already knows the basics, then going over the first 1 or few levels should be quick. The course starts with basic obedience lessons. The next sections focus on games to teach your dog calmness, patience and confidence. They also include some scent work, which your dog will have a lot of fun with (and if you’re like me, you’ll find it really interesting).
In the University level, she’ll advance her skills (games such as hide and seek are taught). The graduation and Einstein modules will further push your dog’s brain. These will both help to improve her scent skills and ability to go onto agility training, should you choose. You’ll also learn how to teach her the super cool tricks at this stage.
Levels are taught through a series of easy-to-understand videos.
Each session is about 10-15 minutes long, so you can easily fit it into your schedule. Unlike in-person classes, you don’t have to commit an hour plus the commute there and back. You can slip in a session whenever you’re home.
Since it’s a new idea, we know you’re wondering what it actually looks like, so here’s an example:
The Science Behind Dog Brain Training
As you may know, there’s a variety of ways you can train your dog. Different trainers have different ideas about what’s best or most effective. Take Pack Theory for example. Some trainers believe that dogs are pack animals and should be trained with this idea in the forefront. Other trainers push back against this, saying dogs are not wolves in the wild, so training them as such isn’t appropriate.
On the other hand, trainers also used science-backed methods. These are proven techniques and provide long-term solutions (not just short-term solutions to very specific problems). These methods reinforce good behavior rather than using force or fearful strategies. Reinforcing the good behavior uses what’s known as conditioning.
This is taught in Psych 101 classes, but if you’re not familiar, classic conditioning means the dog associates a known thing to an unrelated thing. Let’s take the psychologist Pavlov’s old experiment for example.
Dog drools when he sees food
Dog doesn’t drool when random bell rings
Dog sees food while random bell rings and drools. This is done repetitively.
Dog drools when the random bell rings—even when no food is present
Dr. J Coates sums up the value quickly:
“Today’s dogs suffer from a lack of mental stimulation and quality time spent with “their” people. The resulting boredom and anxiety can lead to no end of physical and behavioral problems. Brain Training for Dogs is the solution! In a clear and concise manner, Adrienne Farricelli walks owners through a series of puzzles and exercises that will challenge and entertain dogs of all abilities.”
The course is taught by Adrienne Farrcicelli, a professional CPDT-KA certified dog trainer. She’s been featured in USA Today and Every Dog magazine to name just a few. Over the years, she’s helped thousands of frustrated dog owners and helped train service dogs for military veterans.
What Dog Problems Can Brain Training Help?
Brain training for dogs helps your pup become a “good boy” in general. This is because it teaches him the basics to the advanced skills, and with that, bad behavior will be banished. Because of this strategy, it can solve just about any issue, including:
Not listening
Aggression
Chewing on valuables
Non-stop digging
Jumping up
Pulling on the leash
Barking non-stop
Over-excited
Anxiety
How Can I Brain Train My Dog?
There’s an easy online course that walks you through the levels discussed above. It also includes a variety of articles and resources that can help you tackle specific issues, such as puppy training for behavior problems.
There’s also case studies so you can see exactly how dog trainer Adrienne corrected their behaviors. Support is also provided if there’s something your dog just isn’t quite getting.
Online reviewers comment that the course is easy to follow and easy-to-understand.
Pros of Brain Training
Games are fun for the dog so it doesn’t feel like school
Increases bonding
Uses science-backed methods, meaning it’s effective
Uses no force or mean techniques
Is generally approved of by other dog trainers
Includes support
Costs significantly less than in-person training or other dog training courses
Quick and easy to fit into your day
Comes with many extras other than just the video courses
Troubleshooting techniques provided
Covers everything from basic obedience to jaw-droppingly cool tricks
Money back gaurentee
Cons of Brain Training for Dogs
Some games require household props, but substitutions are suggested if you don’t have them on hand
May require some planning ahead if you don’t have any props
Dangerous aggressive dogs should stick with in-person trainers for safety reasons
Summary
Brain Training is a great technique and course to pursue whether your fur baby needs to learn everything from the ground up or if he just wants to impress his fellow dog park pals. At only $47, it’s cheaper than most programs and certainly more effective since it uses science-backed methods as opposed to outdated or even cruel strategies. Since it’s taught in a series of games, it’s fun for your dog and you can easily see her progression.

Ready to Take the Cheapest + Most Effective Dog Training…
If you want to really put on a show for your neighbors, outdoor inflatables are the way to go. If you’re a dog lover, what better lawn ornament can you get than a dog?
In this post, we’re outlining the top options for Christmas dog inflatables.
Light Up Christmas Dog Inflatables
Before purchasing a blow-up lawn decoration, we have a few tips.
Space. Measure the space you have available before choosing an inflatable. If you live in a city, your lawn may be too short for some of these options. You may also want a more subtle look, in which case you’ll need to make sure the decoration isn’t so big that it takes over your lawn.
Be aware of the surroundings. Blow-up holiday decorations aren’t indestructible. If you place it by a tree, for example, a branch could come loose and make a hole, ruining the inflatable.
Positioning. Put the bottom of the decoration where you want it to stand and spread out the rest on the ground before blowing it up. This will help it fill up evenly.
Stakes. Many inflatables come with stakes, so be sure to check before buying. Even if it does come with a few, you may want to have a few extra on hand. This will help the decoration stand up properly, stay throughout strong winter winds and look amazing.
#1 Light Up Christmas Dog Lawn Ornament English Bulldog
This cute English bulldog is decked out with a green scarf and candy cane in his mouth.
Pawsative Ruffview: “I am so excited to pull this thing out of storage. It is absolutely adorable, good size, and blows up quickly. Last year we made it look like the dog was pulling lights off the house and it was fantastic. Highly recommend.”
This is like a package deal—three dogs for one! I wonder what’s in those gifts too…
Pawsative Ruffview: “This inflatable looked so cute in our yard. We have a Labrabull so having decorations that showed how much we love dogs was super important. The puppies ears and eyes on the back of the adult dog were super cute!”
This huge dog blows up to be 9 feet fall. If you have Saint Bernards, they would look absolutely adorable beside it.
Pawsative Ruffview: “Awesome, sturdy. Holds up well in wind. When snow piles on the dog it goes into a downward dog position until I can brush the heavy snow off. Tail “wags” in the wind.”
#9 Grinch Dog Max Lighted Dog Christmas Outdoor Decoration
This outdoor lawn blow up is sold at more of a premium price—but for a good reason. It features the Grinch’s dog Max, who sits beside the sleigh full of gifts.
This LED inflatable is 7 feet long and sure to attract the attention of all your neighbors and passersby.
Pawsative Ruffview: “This thing is huge! It takes a few minutes to inflate but it looks great once fully inflated. Fits perfect in the front of the house.”
This isn’t your usual holiday inflatable! It has a more real-dog like feel with fuzzy legs and face and hair ears. The added details make it look extra special when it’s glowing at nightime.
Pawsative Ruffview: “High quality product. The stand, stakes and robust clips used to attach lines are top quality. The small kids next door came over right away to touch and pet the big furry dog. Steady 20 mph winds are taken in stride. Stakes are longer and thicker than some I’ve had in other inflatables. I deflated when they predicted 30 mph storm winds. The dog re-inflated the next day in below freezing temps with no problems. I like this product just like the kids next door liked it, and also the fact it is a high quality product.”
This list simply couldn’t be complete without a Snoopy inflatable! He stands tall and proud with a gift for you in his hands.
Pawsative Ruffview: “This charming inflatable sat on my back deck adjoining my kitchen window – I could see him day and night! My husband would plug him in early so I could see him when I got up! He made me smile every day!” (What a nice husband, right!?)
Another cartoon character, if you or your kids are fan of the show, this is for you! Standing 5ft tall and holding a candycane, Scooby-Doo looks happy as ever sporting a Christmas hat.
Pawsative Ruffview: “I bought it for my son as an early Christmas present. He and I both love it. Great price, great item. Shipping and delivery fast and free. Yay for Scooby!”
What does your doggo want to Christmas? This pup has a chance to mail Santa himself! This adorable decoration is 6 feet fall!
Pawsative Ruffview: “I purchased in the middle of the year for a large discount. So it has not spent any amount of time outside. However, being pretty experienced with inflatables. Easily having over 50, this appears to be a good one. I inflated in the garage and the fam inflated it pretty quickly, even with it being unzipped at both ends… Oops! lol I left it inflated for around 30 minutes. The lights were very bright, which cannot be said of a lot of the inflatables out there.”
As the cold months roll in, you’ll probably find yourself snuggling up with your pup.
But you know what’s even cuter?
Cuddling up with matching pajamas!
They’d also look just adorable if your family/friends all got matching ones and took holiday photos! If you have a big family, even toddlers and teenagers can fit into these options. And even if it’s just you and your dog, you’re going to look adorable in these finds!
We’ve rounded up some of the cutest options–take a look at Christmas pajamas for family and dogs.
Matching Dog and Owner Pajamas on Amazon
Before choosing a pajama set for you, your family and your doggo, there’s a few things to think about:
Christmas-themed. If you want something specifically Christmas-themed, we’ve got a ton of options in this post. But we also have some ideas for those who want their PJs to be wearable all year around. For example, red plaid works great for the holidays but also in the months before and after!
Christmas photos. If you’re not already buying them for Christmas card photos, it’s something to think about! Having a whole family match with even the dog (or if you’re like me, just you and your dog) it makes a great photo!
Sizing. Some brands run small, large or true to fit. Since you don’t know, make sure you use their sizing chart and measure yourself/kids/dogs before buying. This ensures you won’t have to go through the return and rebuying process.
Separate buys. Remember that each piece is sold separately, so be sure to select the design and size for each family member!
#1 Reindeer Christmas Pajamas
This 100% pre-shrunk cotton makes them fit great and feel great for every member of the family! Even if you’re not into pajamas, this pattern comes in a robe, socks and blanket– So everyone can match!
Pawsative Ruffview: “I absolutely love this! I like my robe a little oversized so I got a large and I’m a size 8 for reference.”
If someone in your family is a big fan of Dr. Seuss, this is the perfect set for them. With striped bottoms and a funny Grinch top, these are suitable for humans, dogs and even cat family members!
Pawsative Ruffviews: “The pajamas are form fitting, which make them so darn cute! The recipients loved them!”
#3 Striped Red and White Matching Christmas Pajamas with Dog
This set has a few options. Other than the adorable dog onesie, you can get the human top and pants set, human onesie or just the pants.
Pawsative Ruffview: “I bought these right before Christmas. (The family set). 6month, 4T, women’s medium and men’s 2X. I absolutely LOVE them. The quality is beyond what I expected. To be honest, I was hesitant but where else was I to find matching PJs for a family of 4 days before Xmas? Anyway, they are super comfy and stretchy and they fit so well. It was a great purchase.”
#4 Peace, Love and Joy Matching Christmas Pajamas with Dog
These are a great option for the family who spreads love and peace everywhere they go. Your dog’s matching outfit includes a black candy cane design that matches your pants!
Pawsative Ruffview: “I bought 7 pairs of these PJs for my family. Was worried about the sizes, and if they would all fit properly but they all fit great! They are so soft and snuggly, the quality is excellent! Every year I buy matching Christmas pjs, they are usually so expensive and it’s difficult to find the right fit for everyone. These are much more affordable without skimping on quality. I would definitely recommend.”
Since plaid can be worn all year long, this is a good option if your family loves onesies. From toddlers to adults and dogs, they have any size you’d need.
Pawsative Ruffview: “These onesies are SO soft and comfortable. Little tidbit of advice, order one size smaller than you would generally wear. I ordered a medium after reading the reviews and I would have typically ordered a large. It fits perfectly! My husband is 6’2”, 220 lbs and would generally wear an XL. I bought him a large and it fits him perfectly as well!”
This is a good choice if your dog doesn’t like clothes or onesies. Each set has an option to buy a dog bandana in a matching pattern. Comes in plaid black or white, red snowflake or red deer design. It even includes a matching outfit for a child’s doll so they don’t feel left out, either.
Pawsative Ruffview: “Ordered these for my family overseas. Was super happy they fit everyone perfectly. Sizes from toddler to big kids and adults all great. Happy dance over there and here!”
#7 Red Plaid Reindeer Matching Dog and Owner Pajamas
There’s options in this one for a set of red plaid pants and a black and white top featuring a moose, a red plaid gown and a doggy bandana. The lightweight cotton blend will keep you warm on those cold winter nights!
Pawsative Ruffview: “They were absolutely perfect! The 6mo size baby jammies were a little snug but my child is a tad larger so I should’ve done 9-12 months maybe- especially so he could’ve worn them longer but other than that they’re so perfect! The nightgown is adorable and can be worn for years to come. My husband’s exact words were “wow these are nice, I’ll actually wear these ones!” So that’s saying something ?”
These onesies come in sizes for the entire family–including your furpal. Whether it’s for a Christmas photo or an outfit to celebrate New Year’s in, it’s a perfect option!
Pawsative Ruffview: “We purchase 5 for the complete family for a PJs Christmas Party!!! They were very nice and we received lots of compliments!!! Everybody was with PJs but ours won!! Lol.”
Looking to buy a Christmas gift that can be worn by everyone all year round! Check out this comfy sweatshirt-like onesie! Even the doggo gets pockets and a hoodie!
Pawsative Ruffview: “I’m 5’8, 145. I got the medium. It’s oversized and quite roomy but I’m not wearing it to be fashionable. The length is great. So comfortable! Quality is very good. I got the XL infant for my 5 month old who is 20.5 pounds and it’s also roomy and long but will fit him for a nice long time. I’m very satisfied with my purchase. It’s exactly as it appears. Sweatshirt material.”
Looking for something bright to make your pajamas pop? These outfits come with green or red onesies or gowns and a doggo onesie too!
Pawsative Ruffview: “This is a fun, pretty, and well-made Christmas nightgown. It’s extremely colorful and the material is soft and comfortable. I believe it’s made for taller women–I’m 5’3″ and it comes down just past my knees, but I’m fine with that. It’s form-fitting, so if you’re looking for something loose and flowy, this is not it–but it’s extremely comfortable. I weigh around 145 and the medium is a great fit. It is perfect and festive for Christmas and I love wearing it around the holidays! I highly recommend it. The only downside is that it’s pricey.”
These adorable blue onesies feature skiing bears and penguins and igloos. Since they keep your keep warm, you won’t even need slippers!
Pawsative Ruffview: “We ordered 5 Footed Pajamas…The kids since they didn’t have a 6T we ordered a XS small for my 5 year old son and it fits great..It has extra room for him to grow into..I was a little worried it would be to small but there was plenty of extra room. We only had to return one that fit a little to snug out of the five. The measurements are exact. I also did not have any problems with the return process. You have to order another one and send the one back then they refund you. I was worried I wouldn’t have it in time but it worked out perfect. I recommend that when you receive your Pajamas, try them on to make sure they fit so if there are any problems you and send them back asap. Thank You Footed Pajamas!! Would definitely order more in the future!!.. =)”
Here’s another one that’s a good fit for dogs like minimal material. You and your family can wear a full onesie while your pup will have a comfy bandana of the same design.
Pawsative Ruffview: “Very warm and soft. I’m happy with the purchase! I like the zip-off feet feature on the adult PJs. The fleece sheds a ton but it stayed soft even after a wash. I got it just for family pictures – but I like it so much I’m going to wear it around the house!”
#13 Black and White Onesies with Matching Bandana By Burt’s Bees
If you want a onesie that will work all year round, check out this set, complete with a matching dog or cat bandana. Keeping with the natural elements of the Burt’s Bees brand, it also made from 100% organic cotton.
Pawsative Ruffview: “I’m a big fan of Burt’s Bees products, however, this is our first family pajama purchase. They are so well made and soft. The fit is absolutely perfect as well. I highly recommend.”
If you like plaid, but don’t want to make it your entire outfit, this pajama set provides some balance with a solid black top. The set can be worn at Christmas or all year round and comes with a full red plaid dog wrap too!
Pawsative Ruffview: “Fun Family matching Jammies. Fit was as expected. The guys loved them. Also great for hotel & hospital. Husband is being treated with Chemotherapy & they are very comfortable for a 7 hr sit. He likes them well enough to treatment.”

#1 Black Lab Santa Hat and Scarf Ornament
This high-quality ornament comes in various breeds, including black lab, Charles cavalier, chihuahua, dachshund, pointer, Huskey and Yorkie. It would make a great addition to your tree or for a friend that owns one of these breeds.
Pawsative Ruffview: “This was perfect. I bought it for my parents as a Christmas gift, because it looked just like our dog that had passed away recently. Brought tears to all our eyes and it had a very special place on our tree. Love it!”
This beautiful design features a beagle sitting on a gold platform with white and gold wings. He’s surely a good boy with a halo hover over his head.
Pawsative Ruffview: “Bought this in memory of my beagle who recently passed away. It is relatively small but it’s beautiful. I am pleased with this purchase.”
This would make the perfect dog lover gift because we can all relate to it! This subtle sparkle ornament features a dog hugging a red heart with the writing “I love my dog.” There’s also a paw print ornament version that’s centered around wings.
Pawsative Ruffview: “This is a beautiful Old World style Christmas ornament… and especially meaningful for anyone who has lost a beloved companion animal… The ornament is a perfect size… wonderful old fashioned-style ornament. If you have to love yellow labs, this is the ornament for you. There are a few dropdown options you can choose from to decide whether you’d like him to wear a scarf, hat, etc.
Pawsative Ruffview: “I had 2 pedigree yellow labs. On June 16th 2014, I had to let my oldest one go, she was almost 15 and my everything. My husband bought me this life size sitting yellow lab, it arrived in 5 days of ordering. I opened the box she came in, a flood of emotions hit me she was BEAUTIFUL!! This statue looks exactly like both my labs. I washed my baby girl’s collar and put it on the statue, it was like she came back to life. My surviving puppy girl and I are now doing fine, every time I look at my new gift I feel at peace and best of all I feel she is still with us. Amazing! Just to let anyone interested, amazon gives you a choice of ordering a male or female. It truly is spectacular!”
This is probably my favorite ornament of them all because it’s so unique and adorable. A French bulldog hangs with a top hat while looking through an eyeglass.
Has your pup been a good boy this Christmas? Reward him with the ultimate gold bone ornament (okay, and also an actual bone 🙂
Pawsative Ruffview: “This looked so cute on my doggie tree. With my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and other ornaments from OWC. I personalized mine with my pup’s name.”
This pup hovers over a white bone with dangling multi-color holiday lights. Whether you have a boxer or just like dogs, it’s an adorable addition.
Pawsative Ruffview: “My Christmas tree is decorated with a kids/pets theme. Since I love animals, have 4 dogs and 4 cats of my own, plus I foster for our local no kill shelter (currently fostering 9 animals), one of our rescues is a boxer so when I saw this I had to buy it. It really looks like our Rocky and is a breed that was not yet represented on our tree. Very cute ornament.”
Truly a magical ornament, this pup talks when you press a button. He says several phrases such as “oh! Squirrel!” and “I just met you and I love you.” If he looks familiar, it’s because he’s from the movie Up.
Pawsative Ruffview: “Who doesn’t get distracted at the office. We call this the “squirrel” movie just like in the movie “Up”. So whenever we have a “squirrel” moment at work, we press the button on this cute little ornament (may have to push it a few time to get it to say the phrase but that’s ok – what’s another distraction at work :)”
This black lab features sparkly accents that catch the Christmas tree lights. It’s handcrafted and hand-painted, ready to be placed on your tree. They have over 20+ breeds, so be sure to check for yours!

#18 Personalized Ornament for Dogs in Heaven
Ugh. Doesn’t this one just pull at your heart strings? If you have a fur friend who’s passed on, this is a great way to remember her at this time of the year.

#19 Wood Paw Print Cut Out Ornament for Passed on Pups
It’s the same saying as above, only it features a personalized birth/death date rather than a photo. This classy decoration looks beautiful on the tree while also serving as a reminder of Fido.
Pawsative Ruffview: “I bought this for a friend who recently had to put down her dog down due to bone cancer. She absolutely LOVED this and said she would cherish it forever. It was well made and absolutely beautiful. I would definitely purchase this again.”
You can order an ornament such as this one and have the seller customize it with your dog’s name. When you receive it, simply put in a photo of your pup and hang it.
Pawsative Ruffview: “Very cute. All my dogs have their own photo ornaments, and this one was for our new puppy. Would buy again”
There are so many differently designed ornaments that you can get your dog’s name printed into. Click the link below for more options.
Pawsative Ruffview: “Amazing ornament and came quickly too. It was packaged very well (lots of bubble wrap) and marked fragile which is a good thing. I purchased the #1 Dog ornament and I couldn’t be happier. This will be my puppy’s first Christmas and the year at the bottom make it’s just that much more special. The ornament is made with quality materials and looks so cute. It’s made of polyresin so it can break. I’m using a wire hook and the included ribbon to make sure it’s secure on my tree. The bow, mistletoe, and heart have red glitter and looks great. The ornament even came with a little keepsake red satin bag with ties. Thank you DIBSIES Personalization Station. I recommend this ornament and this company. I will definitely buy from you again!”
The seller doesn’t customize this one with a name, but it does provide 2 photo spots. You can fill it with two of your dogs, or your dog and you, your dog and your child, etc.
Pawsative Ruffview: “This is my first Christmas in 15 years without my dog. I was very picky about what ornament I wanted to put her picture in to go on my tree. It came 2 days sooner than expected. I took me a few days to open it because I wasn’t ready to put her picture up. When I opened it it was perfect. I had the perfect picture and now my tree is complete.”

#1 Earl the Elf
This green and red elf costume comes with attached arms and legs o make your pup look like an actual elf!
Pawsative Ruffview: “Love this product – and so did everyone else! It wasn’t the most comfortable thing for our little Yorkie to wear… but it was Oh so cute!! Definitely recommend for a bunch of Ooooos and Awwwwws!”
Do you have a feeling that your pup sneaks off in the wee hours to help Santa in his workshop? This is the outfit for him!
Pawsative Ruffview: “Loved it! My daughter had an Elf themed Christmas party and of course we had to dress up our French Bulldog. It fit great around the neck, but was really lose and long in the legs. Every time he walked he would step on the legs.”
Why make a gingerbread house when you can make a gingerbread dog?
Pawsative Ruffview: “I have an 18-pound Boston Terrier, and this costume in the Small size fits him great, it’s even a little loose on him so I think it’s the perfect size for a heftier Boston Terrier or French Bulldog. My dog hates wearing costumes but he looks great in this. I’m going to insert some wires into the arms of the costume to help them stick out straighter, but they aren’t all that floppy already. But I’m using this for my holiday card this year so I want it to be perfect :)”
Complete with a Santa belt and festive hat, your dog is sure to sneak down the chimney in this outfit.
Pawsative Ruffview: “This Santa Suit for dogs is so cute. My Min Pin looks so adorable. He brings everyone a smile and Christmas cheer when they see him in this costume. Merry Christmas!”
It’s similar to the costume above, only with stick out arms. This makes him look like a real human Santa!
Pawsative Ruffview: “This was a BIG hit. Lot of OMG going on. Have a 13 lb Pomeranian (Jo-Jo) and the Large size fit great over all his fur. Almost ordered Medium, but that would have been too small. He didn’t mind wearing it at all; in fact, seemed to enjoy it. Took him to all the small shops here in mid-coast Maine and couldn’t get any shopping done with this guy; everyone had to stop to make of him and/or get a picture – lotta laughs. Many people actually thanked me for bringing him around – really cheered up their season. Thanks amazon, really enjoyed this!”
Bringing home dead rodents and random sticks, they may not seem like gifts to you, but she built them in her workshop!
Pawsative Ruffview: “Really sweet costume. Headband sits very comfortably on dog’s head and you can tighten it under the neck if you need more stabilization. Soft material and love the cheerful collar. Looking forward to photo ops.”
She may not be the one delivering the gifts, but she helps pull Santa along to make it all happen on time!
Pawsative Ruffview: “We buy family pajamas every Christmas for our Christmas cards photo and this year we got some super cool looking reindeer jumpers, complete with hood and antlers. Sadly, the set we got didn’t offer any pet outfits for our chocolate lab (about 75 lbs). Luckily for us, we found this outfit at a great price. We got the XXL size which was a bit small and had a hard time keeping the hood up but it looked great! Our picture came out super once we finally got our dog to at least look in the direction of the camera for the shot! Very happy with the purchase.”
Pawsative Ruffview: “I really like this costume for my dog who goes to visit in nursing homes. I like that it does not have a separate hat because we had one before that did and it was a lot of trouble. This one will work well.”
This costume is one that’s easy and comfy for doggos to wear during the cold winter. The hood comes up to make your dog a little reindeer!
Pawsative Ruffview: “This is a very cute outfit for a dog. Atley is skinny and long and it fit just fine. As you can tell in the picture she is thrilled!! We loved it.”
Pawsative Ruffview: “Based on the fit description I was able to get the right size (M/L) for my Shih Tzus. Well made and worked perfectly on my two pups. My boy wore the yarmulke and my girl wore the tallis for her bark mitzvah. I highly recommend!”
Santa doesn’t need a sleigh this year. That’s because he has this pup to help! Hoping she can fly over buildings too!
Pawsative Ruffview: “We bought this for my little miniature dachshund and it got many laughs from everyone who saw it. It actually fit pretty well on him which I wasn’t originally expecting since everything fits him strangely due to his lengthy stature. You can see how it fits in the picture provided. The attached Santa held on through him running all around with it. It all attaches via velcro and seems to hold pretty tight. If you want a fun, holiday-fueled outfit for your pet that is sure to get your family and friends laughing during the festivities, this is a sure bet on getting that.”
This differs from other Santa costumes because the hat is attached as a hood, making it easy to put on and off. It also features an adorable belt so he’ll look as much like Saint Nick as possible!
If your pup doesn’t like full-on dog Christmas outfits, you can settle with just a headband. This one is also a knit neck and ear warmer, so it will
Pawsative Ruffview: “Oh my snood! This thing is ridiculously adorable! My little reindeer is the cutest. Just got 3 more. So much fun! They are very well made. The bottom part that goes over the head and on the base of the neck is not stretchy and they are true to the sizing guidelines provided. Love it!”
It isn’t exactly a dog Christmas outfit, but if your dog is one to shiver in the cold, he may appreciate the warm yet festive accessory. Plus, it’s super cute, right!?
Pawsative Ruffview: “Nicely made very thick. Will be warm I have a very small dog; fit perfectly!”
For the doggo who loves dresses, this is the right outfit for her! Featuring a flare out striped bottom and adorable bow, she’ll be the most beautiful at any holiday party she attends.
Pawsative Ruffview: “Love it! Bought for her to wear on Christmas and everyone adored it. She’s about 17in long from neck to base of tail. About 15in around her chest so I got a size L and it was still roomy. Very light and not hot.”
This dogs ears are huge and he’s chosen the perfect hat to wear because it comes with ear holes for comfort. The adorable scarf also features pom poms on the bottom.
Pawsative Ruffview: “We used this in our annual dog Christmas card – everyone loved it!”
Perhaps Christmas dog costumes are just too much for your furpal. Maybe he’s more comfortable with a holiday sweater instead!
#20 Light-up Christmas Dog Sweater
Great for the holiday and for late-night dog walking, this comfy sweater can power lights for 48 hours before the batteries need to be replaced.
Pawsative Ruffview: “This product exceeded my expectations. The shirt itself was well constructed and the light feature changed colors and flashed at different rates, which was very eye-catching. Plus, it came with plenty of extra batteries, which was a nice bonus. My dog is a bit of a ham and my family made such a fuss over him in this shirt that he didn’t want to take it off. He wore it for the majority of two days and the batteries lasted. Beyond satisfied with this item!”
This adorable tracksuit features a hooded sweater with “Christmas” on it and all of the holiday’s favorite characters: Reindeer, Santa and snowman. It’s attached to comfy red pants too!
This ugly holiday sweater comes in 7 other colors and you know it’s high-quality because it has about 1,500 reviews.
Pawsative Ruffview: “It’s sooooo cute!!!! Love it, used the photos for my Christmas card this year!!! I actually ordered a men’s small for the sweater because I didn’t see women’s in the one that I wanted, and it worked out great. I ordered the 14” length for my dog, also fit pretty well. It can be hard to find things that fit the lil guy, he is a beagle but a mix, his legs are long and skinny and he’s only 22 lbs. Just measure your dog’s back like they say and make your best guess. I think my dog’s back measure was actually longer than 14” but I went down in size because of previous dog clothes ordering experience (he is not a normal size.) Anyway, I’m very happy with it!! Happy Holidays!!!”
This sweater features a reindeer on the back with a large pom pom for his red nose!
Pawsative Ruffview: “Great quality, perfect thickness. I have purchased a lot of different brand sweaters for
my 15lb Westie and this one fits him the best! A perfect fit in large. He did not want to take it off. Pictures below.”
This adorable green and red sweater features a cute snowman on the back.
Pawsative Ruffview: “I was worried about the fit but a medium for my 11 lb. Maltese was perfect. I wanted the sweater to go all the way to the base of his tail and it does. Have received many compliments already. Nice quality.”
Everyone is familiar with ugly Christmas sweaters.
But how about ones that match your dog’s attire?
Whether you’re using it for a Christmas card photoshoot, holiday Instagram picture, to be the stars of your family Christmas party or just because they’re so damn cute– we’ve got options for you.
In this post, we’re sharing 14 Matching Christmas sweaters for dogs and owners.
Matching Christmas Sweaters for Dog and Owner
Before choosing the right outfit for you and your furpal, we have a few tips.
Size. As you probably know, companies have different sizing standards. Some sweaters run small while others run gigantic. That’s why you need to be sure to check the sizing guide before buying and compare that to you and your pup’s measurements. Don’t have a sewing tape measure? Simply use a piece of string or ribbon and measure that against a regular tape measure or ruler. Whatever you do, don’t assume the size.
Buy both. Since the size pairings vary by person, each dog and owner sweater is sold separately. After adding one to your cart, be sure to add the next one after. Some are sold by the same seller, others are ones we’ve found by different sellers. Either way, they don’t come together.
Design. What are you using the sweater for and what type of design would you like? For example, are you looking for a beautiful holiday sweater? Or are you attending an ugly sweater party and need something everyone will laugh at? There’s other options, too, such as light-up sweaters!
#1 Red Heart Owner + Dog Ugly Christmas Sweater
This pattern is perfect for both the holidays and Valentine’s day! Featuring the exact same design on both sweaters, people are sure to ask you where you got the matching set!
Pawsative Ruffview: “I have two dogs who do everything together despite there being about a 100 pound weight difference between them. Their size difference makes it nearly impossible to find matching coats or sweaters. But, now Blueberry has changed that! They have matching sweaters for the very first time and the fit is perfect for both. The sweaters are well made and the legs holes have ample room for movement. I am so pleased with this purchase and plan to order more in the future.”
This is a sweater that’s great for the holidays and all year round! It will go with any plaid attire you may already have! If you don’t have anything in your closet, here’s a few suggestions:
Pawsative Ruffview: “THIS SHIRT IS SO CUTE. I have a plaid shirt that looks exactly the same except it’s long sleeve so the fact that I could twin with my dog already had me excited. The shirt fits PERFECTLY. My dog is a mixed chihuahua & weighs 12.5 pounds. His chest is about 17 inches, his neck is about 11 inches, and his back length is about 13 inches. I got him a Large. The back length of the shirt is a tad bit long but just by about 1 & a half inches so it’s not a problem at all.”
#3 Light Up Tree Matching Dog Ugly Christmas Sweater
Both sweaters feature multicolor LED bulbs and are soft and stretchable. You’re sure to be the best well-dressed at any party you attend in these matching outfits!
Pawsative Ruffview (dog sweater): “I incorporate our dogs into our family Christmas photos, so I like to dress them up for the shoot. This year is going to be an ugly Christmas sweater theme, but this piece is FAR from being ugly- it’s so adorable! The Christmas tree printed on the back has an interactive LED light show that is motion activated. As your pet struts through the holiday festivities, the lights will twinkle along. When there is inactivity, the lights will turn off.”
Pawsative Ruffview (owner sweater): “This is absolutely perfect for my work Christmas party. I am a veterinary nurse/crazy cat lady/obnoxious and festive holiday decorator. One thing I did not see in the description, not that I really read it, but this thing LIGHTS UP BY MOVING!!!! It’s even better than I had hoped!!!”
#4 Blue Snowflake Matching Christmas Sweater for Dog and Owner
This exact design comes in both dog and human version, sold by the same seller. Made with 100% acrylic material, these sweaters are durable and will easily last years.
Pawsative Ruffview: “Had this for over a year now and still fits my chihuahua very nicely, it’s been washed and dried and hasn’t shrunk or lost its color at all. He loves it. He’s the kind of dog that likes to lay under a pile of blankets and snuggle up real close to stay warm and I think this is perfect for him cause it keeps him warm and feeling secure. It also doesn’t cover his privates when he goes to the bathroom which I’ve ordered some other sweaters that have done that before which is pointless cause I got these so he would stay warmer outside, but this one works great!”
If you and your pup are filthy animals, this is the sweater for you! Both sweaters feature the words on a soft red fabric, but the doggo version is thermal lined for extra warmth.
Pawsative Ruffview: “The quality of this shirt is much better than I expected. It will be a great surprise for my husband who is always saying that line to our sweet pups around Christmas time.”
This design features a red deer diamond-patten on the dog version and a blue/red deer and snowflake pattern on the human version.
Pawsative Ruffview: “These looks so cute on my two kittens and dog. The 10-inch were a little snug and short on my 8-month old kitties… I’d do the 12inch next time. The 16-inch was perfect for my 32Lb broad-chested dog. I made a Christmas card with a photo of my babies in their sweaters :)”
The dog sweater is made from 20% wool and 80% acrylic for a timeless crewneck. The human version has a turtleneck design to keep you warm all winter.
Pawsative Ruffview (dog sweater): “Bought these for my Cavaliers, Nigel and Jasper. They fit perfectly and are simply adorable! Also, they seem very comfortable and of high quality. My little babies seem to love them too! I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.”
Pawsative Ruffview (human sweater): “The sweater truly has a designer appearance. It fits perfect for me. I am 5’9” 160 pounds. I wear medium tops due to muscular arms and a size 8 clothes on average.
I have a long torso and short arms (think of T-Rex haha). So usually tops fit poorly.”
#8 Ho Ho Ho Matching Christmas Sweater for Dog and Owner
This cute doggo sweater features a hole at the top to conveniently attach your dog’s leash to her collar. The human version is more glittery and features a wreath-like O.
Pawsative Ruffivew (dog sweater): “Same as description, love this sweater, bright color and nice design.”
Pawsative Ruffview (human sweater): “I absolutely love this sweater. It has the comfort of a sweatshirt while looking a little bit nicer like a regular sweater. I bought a size medium and it fits perfectly. If I wanted a more formfitting look I could have also gotten the small. I definitely would recommend this sweater. I plan on wearing it for my fifth-grade students’ winter choir concert.”
If you just want a traditional green sweater, it’s pretty easy to find matching ones. This dog version is made with 100% acrylic fabric for warmth. The human version has a turtle kneck and casual loose knit design.
Pawsative Ruffview (dog sweater): “Love this sweater. My Chion is 5.5 pounds and he is wearing a size small. It’s very well made, soft and easy for him to move around in. It’s a nice and thick material.”
Pawsative Ruffview (human sweater): “This was surprisingly great in quality, material, feel, and warmth. This is perfect for my trip to NY this winter. I recommend washing before you wear it.”
This soft and warm doggo sweater pairs beautifully with this human sweater featuring blue reindeer and trees.
Pawsative Ruffview (dog sweater): “It fits my small (11 pound) min pin mix dog. It is very cute and looks to be a good material. It keeps him warm and he looks very comfy in it! As you can see from the photo, his tail is blurry, he is wagging it so much :-p I think he loves it too.”
Pawsative Ruffview (dog sweater): “I am a bit cautious about ordering clothes online because I am curvey and it typically doesn’t fit, however, this sweater is perfect! I am so excited to wear it for the holidays, I ordered the darker colored one and it looks exactly like the pictured and actually fits true to size. Very soft and comfortable!”
#11 Reindeer with Pom Pom Nose Matching Dog Ugly Christmas Sweater
This black dog sweater features a red pom pom nose, true to Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. The adorable human version features the same, only with the create wearing an ugly Chrismas sweater himself.
Pawsative Ruffview (dog sweater): “My doggie looked so adorable for Christmas. Size was accurate and well made!”
Pawsative Ruffview (human sweater): “I love it!!! Prettiest ugly sweater ever. It fits a bit baggy, but I loved the fit. It wasn’t itchy and was comfy. I’m scared to stain It!”
#12 Red Llama Ugly Dog and Owner Christmas Sweater
I’m really not sure why llamas have become a holiday symbol, but I kinda like it. If you’re a bit quirky and also think it’s a good idea, this is the choice for you!
Pawsative Ruffview (dog sweater): “Festive Ugly Sweater??? I don’t think so! This sweater is just too cute! We will simply call the alpaca a fun white reindeer if anyone questions why! LOL! Nice quality, with a generous fold over collar aka turtle neck. The sweater is on the thicker side, not thin or wimpy. The small fits my 9 lb. Pom perfectly! I recommend and would buy again!”
Pawsative Ruffview (owner version): “Quality is beyond perfect ! It’s so soft , and the llama is adorable ! This is the best ugly sweater in the world ! Product is pretty big , so I got a medium instead of a large and still have room to breathe 🙂 thank you so much!”
These light are great whether you want to stand out at a party or to keep your dog safe during winter late-night walking. The human version is equally as cute!
Pawsative Ruffview: “This was the hit of the season for our poodle. This is sooo cute and fun and festive. The price is perfect, but this sweater runs small. I will have to order the next size up this year. But, I highly recommend this to any and all dog lovers who celebrate the joy and fun and happiness of Christmas. Thank you, Amazon!”
Okay, not exactly a sweater, but an equally adorable choice for fashionista furparents and furbabes! The dog version even has a ring at the top to attach a leash.
Pawsative Ruffview (dog Christmas dress): “Perfect for our 2 month old Bernese mountain dog puppy! We surprised our daughter with our new puppy wearing this, to go with her new Christmas costume. Everything about this costume is perfect. It was very easy to put on. The material is light weight and super warm. Couldn’t have asked for much more. It makes a bit of a rustling sound when the puppy walks. It doesn’t bother our pup but might bother some extra sensitive dogs. I’d definitely recommend it otherwise. Our puppy fit in a size Large and she’s around 20lbs.”
Pawsative Ruffview (owner version): “My search for a costume is over. It was tough. Lots of dresses looked vampy, sexy, cheap or grandmotherly. I’m glad I ordered this dress. It is much cuter than expected and comfy. I like that the material is thin but not see through (don’t want to be too hot). I’m a size 4, 5″3 with curves and this fit perfectly. It’s velvet with a little stretch, dark red and has a small, unobtrusive back zipper.”
